Simple readout of the application data

The collet holder EMUGE Speedsynchro® Modular/ NFC now has as standard an NFC module which stores the application data. All important information is available by simply readout via a smartphone.

Until now, users of the very maintenance-friendly Speedsynchro^® collet holder mostly estimated how many threads were created with it and when a service would make sense. The NFC module now supports the user with precise information such as number of threads, operating time and service status. The app, which is available free of charge from Google Play or the Apple Store, will be installed on a smartphone with an NFC module. If then the smartphone is held to the NFC surface of the Speedsynchro^®, the screen opens with all important parameters. Users can then easily check how high the load on the Speedsynchro^® holder is and when a service is scheduled.

The collet holder Speedsynchro® Modular/ NFC is provided with an integrated transmission gearing which produces a 4.412 times increase of the RPM of the machine spindle at the tool. The consequently resulting higher cutting speeds reduce the cycle time by up to 50 %. At the same time the machine spindle can be operated in a lower speed range and so save up to 90 % energy.  In addition, the Speedsynchro^® Modular/ NFC is equipped with the EMUGE minimum length compensation Softsynchro^®  reducing the axial forces onto the workpiece. This results in a higher tool life and an improved thread quality. The Speedsynchro^® Modular/ NFC is available in two versions: for use with coolant lubricant or for use with minimum quantity lubrication (MQL). The quick adaptation of the tool shanks to male and/or female center or the change between 1- and 2-channel MQL-system is guaranteed by simple exchange of the transfer elements and length adjustment screws. For large series manufacturers the Speedsynchro^® Modular/ NFC delivers a quick contribution to more efficiency. Depending on the application an amortization is possible from about 250.000 threads.

Speedsynchro^® in Long term …

Einer unserer ersten Speedsynchro^® Kunden aus Schweden hat mit seinem Werkzeug mittlerweile 13 Millionen M3 Gewinde in AlMg3 geformt, ohne dass eine Wartung durchgeführt werden musste. Wir baten den Kunden, uns das Werkzeug zurückzusenden, um den Verschleiß der Bauteile beurteilen zu können.

Der Getriebesatz zeigt keinen nennenswerten Verschleiß. Die Getrieberäder befinden sich praktisch noch innerhalb der Fertigungstoleranzen eines neuen Getriebes.

Für 13 Millionen Gewinde und einer Vielzahl Gewindebohrerwechslungen zeigt der Spannkopf und die Spannmutter keinen Verschleiß. Die Dämpfungselemente sind in akzeptablem Zustand – ein Wechsel ist aber anzuraten. Die Drehmomentmitnahmekugeln und die Kugellaufbahnen sind ohne Beschädigungen.

Das Kühlmittelübergaberohr zeigt im Bereich der Abdichtung leichte Einlaufspuren. Diese ergeben sich durch die Differenzdrehzahl von Maschinen­spindel zu dem getriebeübersetzen Spannkopf. Die Funktion war noch gegeben. Ein Austausch ist dennoch erforderlich.

In Bild 5 sind die Bauteile zu sehen, die ausgetauscht wurden. Die Bauteile wurden nicht aufgrund des Werkzeugausfalls gewechselt, sondern im Rahmen der Überprüfung des Verschleißzustandes.

Die Überprüfung des Speedsynchro® nach dem Langzeiteinsatz von 13 Millionen Gewinden innerhalb von ca. zwei Jahren ist sehr erfreulich und dokumentiert die Verschleißfestigkeit der Ausführung.

Das Ergebnis kann auch auf die Weiterentwicklung des Speedsynchro® Modular in oranger Ausführung übertragen werden. Die Getriebeeinheit ist in dieser Ausführung identisch und unterscheidet sich lediglich durch die Längeneinstellschrauben und die Übergaben für Minimalmengenschmierung und IKZ.
